Call first when something is failing right now, so we can sort out the symptom and send the right technician:
- Heating and cooling: no heat, no cooling, a burning smell, a breaker that trips, water leaking from an indoor unit, or airflow that suddenly drops. See also emergency HVAC.
- Appliances: a refrigerator that is warming with food inside, a range that will not ignite, a washer that will not drain, or an error code that keeps coming back.
If you smell gas, do not use switches or the phone inside the house. Leave first, then call your gas utility or 911 from outside.

The request becomes an appointment once we confirm it. For anything urgent, call instead. If the equipment has already been looked at, mention the symptom and any earlier diagnosis in your request so the visit can focus on the actual failure.

What to have ready when you call
- Equipment type: furnace, air conditioner, heat pump, mini-split, refrigerator, range, washer and so on.
- Brand, model and serial number if you can see them. On HVAC equipment they are on a label on the side of the outdoor unit or inside the furnace door; on most appliances, on a tag inside the door, on the door frame or behind the lower front panel.
- The symptom and when it started: the noise, the smell, the room that stays warm, the food that is not cold.
- Any error code on a display, or the number of blinks of a light on the control board.
- What you have already checked: power, breakers, thermostat settings and the filter.
